Training on Mooting Culture and Legal research


Symbiosis Law School, Pune conducted a training session on Mooting Culture and Legal Research. The resource person was Ms. Miriam Sharon Samuel who is an Associate Professor at University of Seattle, USA. The training programme was approximately 20 days long from 8th July, 2019 to 25th July 2019. 

The primary purpose of the programme was to impart skills training in Mooting, Legal Research, legal reasoning and Analytical Skills to law students of SLS Pune. The training was mostly conducted on all days in Professional Development and Continuing Legal Education (PDCLE) Hall.

  • Situation and Law: Rights & Claims
  • How to find law
  • How to analyse case – logical progression
  • How to prepare memorandum claim
  • Moot Rules, drafting moot memorial
  • How to research modes of citation (Legal Writing)
  • Training on Mooting Skills
  • Advocacy skills
  • Identification of legal issues
  • IRAC Method

Total 377 Students participated in the training programme.
